Additionally, it’s the combined industry experience of the engineering and management teams at Zavation that has allowed it to grow manifolds over the years and fulfill the healthcare sector’s growing needs. However, what sets them apart from its competitors is the fact that Zavation develops its products in-house. “Initially we outsourced everything, but as we continued to grow, speed was of the essence, and thus, we started manufacturing our products in house. It helps us in getting our products into the market faster,” says Johnson.

This has been a great advantage for the Zavation team as it allows the company to fulfill surgeons’ requirements faster. In one such instance, a surgeon sought a plate that can perfectly get aligned to the patients during the surgical procedures. While the market had different sized plates available, he was looking for one plate that could expand inside the patient’s body. That’s when Zavation came up with an expandable plate, which enjoys extensive usage across healthcare facilities. Likewise, on another occasion, a surgeon approached the firm asking for a shorter screwdriver than the one being offered. In such cases, Zavation can fulfill the requirements in a day or two, which is impossible even for larger organizations.
